SUBSCRIBING THE CALL

As was announced on Sunday, now that the congregation has approved Rev Dr MaryAnn Rennie as our new Parish Minister, it is extremely helpful to have as many signatures as possible on the Call or the Concurrence to the Call.  Signing the Call is open to anyone who is a Communicant or an adherent and on the Electoral Register.  Signing the Concurrence is for anyone  else who is connected with the congregation but whose name is not on the Electoral Register.   Children are also welcome to add their names to the Concurrence. If you cannot attend in person you can sign by means of a mandate. The relevant form is available from the Clerk or the Parish Deacon. The deadline for receiving such a mandate is the 5th July. The Call and the Concurrence will be available this coming Sunday and the following (the 5th July)  or by arrangement with the Session Clerks.  Please make sure you are signing the correct form!

18. Eco tip   Many are shocked to note that Forever chemicals ( PFAS )are even being found in our Scottish Islands , including Fair Isle . It's important to acknowledge that many of the toxic chemicals in our seas have come from us via our sinks , toilets and washing machines . If you wish to make changes to your cleaning regime ( one step at a time ! ) a good start is to read Nancy Birtwhistle's book " Clean and Green " which is now on our Eco shelf . Her tips are much cheaper than many commercial " eco" cleaning products .

19. Bethany Care Van  We are in need of jeans, joggers, hoodies, fleeces and T-shirts. So if you’re having a clean out to make room for summer wear now that the good weather has arrived please fill up our Bethany bins with any unwanted or outgrown clothing! Many thanks!
